On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, Ho Chi Minh City tourism flourished, increasing sharply compared to the same period in 2024, reflecting the excitement at the beginning of the year and creating momentum for the industry's development in 2025.

This is the driving force for the city's tourism industry to achieve its goals in 2025. Of which, international visitors to the city are estimated at about 87,358, an increase of 16.5% over the same period in 2024 (75,000 in 2024). Visitors to tourist areas, attractions, entertainment and service venues... are estimated at about 2.1 million, an increase of 16.7% over the same period in 2024.

The number of guests at accommodation establishments is estimated at about 150,000, an increase of 11% over the same period in 2024. Room occupancy is estimated at about 65%, an increase of 44.4% over the same period in 2024. Revenue is estimated at about 7,690 billion VND, an increase of 17.4% over the same period in 2024.

A representative of Viet Travel Company said that during the Lunar New Year this year, the company will deploy about 200 tour routes, serving more than 10,000 visitors. In 2025, the number of visitors will increase by 25% compared to the same period in 2024, of which more than 70% will be family groups participating in tours lasting 4 days or more.

Travel companies in Ho Chi Minh City have launched many new, diverse and attractive tourism products right in the city and attracted people and tourists such as: Thu Duc Spring Tour; Spring on Binh Dong Wharf; District 1 - Night Colors; Enjoying Saigon River by double-decker river bus... Tours connecting Ho Chi Minh City with provinces and cities are also chosen by many tourists such as: Visiting Sa Dec to visit the hundred-year-old flower village; Cho Lach Flower Village, Ben Tre...

Many new tourism products with competitive prices and many preferential policies have been launched during Tet this year. This creates opportunities for people and tourists to explore Ho Chi Minh City with interesting and diverse experiences, from new attractions, entertainment to traditional products.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Tran Thi Bao Thu - Marketing and Communications Director of Vietluxtour Company - said that Ho Chi Minh City still has a lot of potential in terms of culture, history, cuisine, etc. for businesses to exploit and develop into many different specialized products, especially inter-city and inter-city products such as Ho Chi Minh City - Can Gio, Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi, Ho Chi Minh City - Tay Ninh.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism also stated that 2025 will be a breakthrough period for the city's tourism with new, rich and diverse tourism products, from cultural tourism to resort tourism activities. In 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry aims to welcome about 8.5 million international visitors, 45 million domestic tourists, with an estimated total tourism revenue of VND260,000 billion.
