On November 29, the People's Committee of Hung Nguyen commune (Nghe An) held the opening ceremony of the Ong Hoang Muoi Temple Festival in 2025. This is a traditional festival held annually on the 9th and 10th of the 10th lunar month.
The festival was attended by leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the authorities of Hung Nguyen commune and neighboring communes. Delegates offered incense and flowers in memory of Quan Hoang Muoi - the Saint venerable by the people with many miracles associated with Nghe An.

The Ong Hoang Muoi Temple Festival has a history of hundreds of years, associated with the temple built during the Le Dynasty. After being restored in 1995, the festival was fixed on the 9th and 10th of the 10th lunar month, coinciding with the anniversary of Quan Hoang Muoi and the Lunar New Year. In 2019, the festival was recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
On November 28 and 29, the festival will perform many traditional rituals such as the coronation ceremony, the beauty procession, the exorcism, the decree, the altar ceremony; along with a space for performances of the bronze festival, the Hoang Muoi festival. In addition to the ceremony, sports activities such as men's volleyball, women's volleyball, tug of war and art programs, releasing flower lanterns on the Moc River attracted a large number of people.

On the morning of November 29, the main ceremony was solemnly held with incense offering ceremony, ceremony, declaration ceremony and crowning ceremony. After the ceremony, the teams entered the volleyball and tug of war finals, and awarded sports prizes.
According to Deputy Director of Nghe An Province's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Xuan Cuong, the Ong Hoang Muoi Temple Festival in 2025 continues to affirm the vitality of local cultural heritage, contributing to promoting the image of Nghe An, creating an attractive cultural and spiritual highlight for tourists from all over the world.
