Accordingly, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Vietnam, Mr. Karl Van den Bossche, co-chaired the press conference on the 2024 Belgian Food and Culture Festival (B. Fest) with the theme "Multi-sensory touch" held at Viet Tiep Palace (Hai Phong City) from October 25 to 27, 2024.
The 2024 Belgian Cultural and Culinary Festival is invested in a large scale, impressively decorated, and is expected to attract over 6,000 participants. The festival will introduce to Hai Phong people and tourists nearly 30 types of beer of different Belgian beer styles, along with the presence of Belgian chefs and Belgian beer experts, bringing unique culinary experiences when combining the right beers with suitable dishes.
Visitors to the festival will have the opportunity to learn about the hundreds of years old origin of Belgian beer as well as the reasons why Belgian beer is loved and honored worldwide, recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.
B. Fest has been held annually since 2019, an event authorized by the Belgian Embassy in Vietnam for DEEP C Industrial Park - Belgium's largest investment project in Vietnam, in coordination with the Belgian - Luxembourg Business Association in Vietnam.
According to Ambassador Karl Van den Bossche, the festival is not only a bridge for the Belgian community in Vietnam and local people to share unique cultural values, but also promotes economic and tourism cooperation between the two countries, while introducing Hai Phong as an attractive investment destination.
The 3 nights of performances at the Festival will feature many talented domestic and international artists such as singer Trong Hieu and bands Osoko and Ouido with vibrant songs. In addition, famous DJs such as Alexander and Belgian DJ Loveboat (Discobar Galaxie) will stir up the party with modern EDM music.
The festival welcomes the participation of the public, people of Hai Phong and neighboring provinces, the foreign community living in Vietnam, businesses, organizations and individuals who share a love for Belgian culture.
Within the framework of B. Fest 2024, the Workshop and tour "Innovation and sustainable development" will take place on October 25, aiming to introduce the investment environment in Hai Phong, attracting foreign investment to the city.
