“Squid Game 2” has released all 7 episodes. The film caused a lot of controversy from critics, “Squid Game 2” faced many criticisms about the script.
Compared to part 1, "Squid Game 2" lacks a breakthrough in content, the games in part 2 are not special, and do not create valuable details to fully exploit the darkness and complexity of human psychology.
Aside from the controversy over plot and absurd loopholes, the biggest weakness of “Squid Game 2” is the way the characters are built.
The male lead Gi Hun is annoying when he talks too much about life philosophy and morality, while in part 1 he himself had to use "tricks" to be the final winner.
Not only that, Gi Hun always acts impulsively, without calculation or careful consideration, affecting others, even though he always tells the remaining players to stay alive, calling on them to give up this bloody game of life and death.
The climax of the outbreak was in episode 7, Gi Hun called for a “coup” against the “circle, square, triangle” army, from there he found his way to the command room, overthrew the commander, and ended the game. Gi Hun called for everyone to unite, risking their lives together, but he himself had no plan, no preparation, and absolutely no knowledge of his opponents or the routes in the game hall.

With zero knowledge and preparation, Gi Hun led about 10 people, rushed into a place where they did not know the way, did not even know that "they had to scan their masks on the camera to get through the door", calmly rushed into a gunfight with a powerful force fully equipped with weapons.
The massacre ended quickly with the most predictable results, most of them died in vain, including Gi Hun's best friend.
The character Gi Hun was originally built as a man with humanity, always torn when facing life and death. He was given a rare humanity among the "money-hungry" players. However, in the last episode of part 2, Gi Hun was just a pathetic person.
Gi Hun is ultimately nothing more than a man who desires to overthrow the “man in black mask” behind the game. In order to take down the mastermind, Gi Hun risks the lives of all those who follow and support him. It is Gi Hun with his shallow plan that kills his best friend – the one he trusted.
Throughout part 2, the male lead Gi Hun is frustrating, as his lines and actions are completely opposite.

Besides Gi Hun, many other supporting characters were also not built up. T.O.P's (Big Bang) Thanos was built up to be very "dangerous", seemingly leading the group of villains to create major turning points for the game, but in the end, Thanos was "eliminated" in a ridiculous way, compared to the danger that the screenwriter tried to put on Thanos' appearance and identity.
The character Lee Myung Gi (Im Si Wan) was also created a “dangerous” profile as the boss of online cryptocurrency fraud, with such a strong “CV”, Myung Gi should have shown more of his calculating nature in the games. But no, he just walked around with an unnecessarily mysterious air until the last episode of season 2.
