In her later years, the resounding artist was once passionate about art and participated in acting. In 2022, he participated in the movie "Cu li khong bao mai jo", which was released in November 2024.

In the film, he plays the role of a family friend with Mrs. Nguyen's family (played by People's Artist Minh Chau). At that time, he had just recovered from a stroke, his pronunciation was not round and clear, quite similar to the character in the film.
It is known that the entire segment of artist Thuong Tin in the film "Cu li khong bao mai jo" was filmed in Ha Tinh. Due to no longer having a citizen ID card, he could not travel by plane, forcing him to sit in a car for a day and a night from Ho Chi Minh City to the scene. Accompanying him was a long-time fan, who took care of and supported the artist during the 5 days he worked with the film crew.
Despite declining health after a serious illness and many years of absence from the screen, artist Thuong Tin still works enthusiastically, closely coordinating with the crew.
Director Pham Ngoc Lan shared: In the film, Uncle Tins character is not healthy, but in reality, he still maintains his spirit and inner strength during filming, which is very impressive. After this work, Thuong Tin no longer appears on screen.

The work "Cu li mai cries" by director Pham Ngoc Lan revolves around the story of a poor woman from Vietnam to Berlin after hearing the news of her ex-husband's passing.

The cast of "Cu li khong bao mai jo" includes People's Artist Minh Chau, Ha Phuong, Xuan An and Hoang Ha. Tran Thi Bich Ngoc, Nghiem Quynh Trang hold the production position, Phan Dang Di is the creative producer. The film won the Best Debut Film award at the 74th Berlin Film Festival.
