MICE tourism is a type of tourism that combines meetings, seminars, conferences, awards and exhibitions of businesses, companies, and corporations for their staff, employees and partners. Recently, in Hanoi, the Vietnam MICE Tourism Club (VMC) organized the 2024 MICE tourism business connection event called: MICE EXPO 2024 with the participation of 500 businesses and 800 delegates.
Commenting on the potential for MICE tourism development in Vietnam, Mr. Vu The Binh - Chairman of Vietnam Tourism Association, affirmed: "Vietnam has all the conditions to become a MICE Center of the region and the world".

The technical facilities of the tourism industry are becoming more and more modern, the professional level of the workforce of tourism businesses is improving day by day. In addition, businesses are always striving for digital transformation, applying technology to activities to promote the development of MICE tourism.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Anh, Chairman of VMC, said: “We need to constantly innovate, create and cooperate closely to be able to make the most of these opportunities.”
Positioning Vietnam MICE tourism brand
Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh - Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism - assessed that MICE tourism products are considered the strength of the capital's tourism industry. Accordingly, Hanoi has successfully hosted many important events of national, regional and international scale, notably the US - North Korea Summit, the World Economic Forum on ASEAN, the 6th Greater Mekong Sub-region Summit, the 31st SEA Games and the 11th ASEAN Para Games...
These events not only contribute to promoting the image of the Capital on the international arena as a center connecting global values, a place to exchange regional and international initiatives for peace, stability and development, but also affirm the capacity to organize international-scale events, an attractive and safe destination for tourists.

Sharing with Lao Dong, Ms. Nguyen Thuy - Sales Director, Silk Path Hotels & Resorts - said that Vietnam is a very potential market because it owns locations with unique landscapes and cultures. Each location creates unique and cultural products.
“I personally find that customers are very impressed with products in Vietnam, from sustainable to luxury. Developing MICE tourism is a strong trend not only in the domestic market but also internationally,” Ms. Thuy expressed.
According to the current trend, tourists do not just travel for leisure, but also want to combine work and family vacations to explore each destination. Tourists tend to expand their interests and activities beyond the vacation experience. Therefore, MICE tourism will increasingly develop in Vietnam - Ms. Thuy believes.
