On December 2, Dispatch news agency published an article exposing many actions of former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, who was said to have intentionally used NewJeans as a shield, influencing NewJeans to confront HYBE and terminate the contract.
According to Dispatch, Min Hee Jin has absolutely no respect for artists. In a message, she called NewJeans “immature children,” and her role was to “endure the disgust.”
“For Min Hee Jin, artists are tools. She uses NewJeans as a loudspeaker against HYBE, using them as a speaker to convey her will” - Dispatch affirmed.
The evidence given was NewJeans' unexpected livestream on the evening of September 11. The members denounced HYBE as an inhumane company, demanding that Min Hee Jin return to the position of CEO of ADOR and restore ADOR to its original state. Coincidentally, this request was also raised by Min Hee Jin that morning.
Dispatch analyzed that Min Hee Jin's comeback strategy has two directions. Min Hee Jin (in the background) requested the CEO position via email, while NewJeans (in the front) put pressure on HYBE via a livestream.
Dispatch has obtained the messages that Min Hee Jin sent to the families of the NewJeans members on the day of the livestream.
At this time, Min Hee Jin is facing difficulties due to public condemnation of her unfair treatment of sexually harassed employees, and the truth about unethical actions in the entertainment industry is exposed.
NewJeans' livestream helped Min Hee Jin change public opinion.
NewJeans stressed that the livestream was their own decision. In an interview with KBS (now deleted), they said that Min Hee Jin "interfered" with the broadcast.
But since the afternoon of September 11, Min Hee Jin has been texting NewJeans' parents. She knows exactly when the broadcast will start and excitedly says, "Bunnies (NewJeans fans) are rolling out the red carpet for us."
Hanni said that it was her own decision to attend the National Assembly hearing. But Dispatch caught Hanni visiting Min Hee Jin's office. She was holding a yellow envelope (attendance certificate). They talked for more than 4 hours with the presence of a lawyer.
Dispatch noted that NewJeans tried to distance themselves from Min Hee Jin when announcing important views. They said that livestreaming was “self-determination” and appearing at the National Assembly was “going it alone.”
And in the press conference on the evening of November 28, Minji shared: "We did not talk privately with director Min Hee Jin, but I think the director will have the same thoughts as us", to prove that they were not influenced by Min Hee Jin.
Also at the press conference, NewJeans announced that the exclusive contract between the group and ADOR Company ended on November 29.
In addition, NewJeans affirmed in the official announcement: “Because the contract termination is due to ADOR’s violation, we are not subject to any compensation or penalty for violation. We also commit to fully performing the obligations in the contracts that ADOR signed with partners before this time.”
