Talking to Lao Dong, a representative of Nho Que 1 Hydropower Joint Stock Company said: "The amount of water flowing into the lake on the afternoon of October 2 has decreased to 677.21 m3/s, at a small flood level. However, people and tourists should still be careful when going to areas near the reservoir".
Before the flood, there were about 50 boats serving more than 1,000 visitors on the river every day. However, since the afternoon of September 30, these activities have been suspended. Currently, there are no tourists trapped in the Nho Que river area.

The company representative added that there are currently many roads connecting the Nho Que river area with landslides and strong water flows, typically the section from Yen Minh to Tu San being damaged in many places and traffic stagnating. Local authorities have organized the placement of signs and sent functional forces to be on duty at many locations.
In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tuyen Quang and local organizations and businesses sent a document recommending travel agencies and tourists to temporarily postpone tourism plans in the Nho Que river area and unsafe destinations.
Accommodation facilities in Meo Vac are required to provide maximum support to stranded tourists, including discounts and free accommodation for guests in difficulty.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the Ha Giang area (Tuyen Quang) will continue to have heavy rain for the next 1-2 days, increasing the risk of flash floods and landslides in river, stream and high mountain areas.
When the water flow into the lake drops below level 1 warning level and the weather is stable, the roads and tourism activities on the Nho Que River will be considered for restoration to ensure the safety of tourists.
The Nho Que River winds through Tu San Alley and is considered one of the deepest canyons in Southeast Asia. This is a prominent tourist destination of Ha Giang, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors and experiences each year. Tourists coming here often take a boat down the emerald green water, admire the majestic canyons or wear traditional costumes of local ethnic groups to take souvenir photos...
