On the evening of September 24, the copyright holder of Miss Universe Vietnam officially announced Huong Giang as the representative of Vietnam to compete in Miss Universe 2025, scheduled to take place in November in Thailand.
This is the first time Vietnam has sent transgender people to compete in the Miss Universe arena - a turning point out of the "safe zones" that have only accepted female contestants for many years.
The choice of Huong Giang created a wave of great interest in public opinion. The organizers stated that they highly appreciated the determination, inspiring image and depth of the community activities of this beauty after many years of working in the arts.
Before entering a new challenge at Miss Universe, Huong Giang had a remarkable achievement in the field of transgender beauty queens.
In 2018, she attended Miss International Queen held in Pattaya, Thailand, surpassing 27 contestants from around the world to be crowned the highest title.
In the same contest, she was also awarded two more secondary awards: Talented Beauty and Media Beauty (ie " video introducing yourself as a favorite person).
In the years after her coronation, Huong Giang did not continue to "fight" much in international beauty contests. She focuses on music, television, program production and social projects.
