On October 24, Miss Ky Duyen was announced to compete in Miss Universe 2024.
At the event, Ky Duyen shared about the community project that will be brought to this international arena.
She also admitted to past mistakes, saying it took years to overcome the psychological crisis.
Regarding the scandals of the past years, Ky Duyen said: "It took me a long time to overcome the crisis... I hope to turn emotional pain into physical pain. This is also the project I want to bring to Miss Universe 2024."
To prepare for the contest, Ky Duyen released an autobiographical photobook that fully records her journey through the ups and downs of life over the past 10 years.
Ky Duyen said that on the first page of this book, she used an image that has haunted her for more than 10 years - her awkward sleeping position.
"I still remember clearly that day, June 18, 2015, the moment I saw that image of myself all over social networks - the image of my unflattering sleeping posture on the plane. This image was also the beginning of a series of scandals from then on" - she said.
Miss Ky Duyen said that at that time, as a small girl, she was not strong enough to overcome the attacks of netizens.
She also revealed that she studied until her third year at Foreign Trade University. However, she put her studies on hold because she faced too much pressure from public opinion.
Miss Ky Duyen's full name is Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen, 28 years old, from Nam Dinh. She is 1.75m tall, weighs 56kg, and has measurements of 85-59-93cm.
The beauty was a student at Hanoi Foreign Trade University. She will be a Vietnamese contestant at the 73rd Miss Universe Vietnam in Mexico later this year.
