The famous culinary website TasteAtlas has just announced the results of the TasteAtlas Awards 2024 - 2025 on the list of 100 cities with the best cuisine in the world.
Notably, Vietnam has 3 cities on the list. Hue, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City were honored with an impressive score of 4.5/5, affirming Vietnam's position on the global culinary map.
Hue City ranked 35th globally, standing out with its unique traditional dishes. In the "Must Try" category, Bun bo Hue topped the list with a score of 4.3/5, highly appreciated for its rich flavor and complexity.
Other specialties such as nem lui, banh beo and banh khoai also received high marks from TasteAtlas users. Restaurants such as Banh Ganh, Hong Mai and Bun bo Hue Ba Xuan were recognized as typical culinary addresses of the city.
The cuisine of the capital Hanoi ranked 40th, attracting diners with unique street foods.
Pho scored the highest with 4.4, followed by spring rolls, bun cha and bun rieu. Restaurants recommended by TasteAtlas include Chao Ban, Don Duck Old Quarter Restaurant, Era Restaurant, The East, Pho Gia Truyen Bat Dan...
Finally, Ho Chi Minh City ranked 56th, with broken rice standing out with a score of 4.4.

Iconic restaurants such as Madam Khanh - The Banh Mi Queen and Banh Mi Phuong in Hoi An are named, contributing to the culinary reputation of this region.
Southern Vietnam ranked 53rd with a score of 4.2, attracting foodies with its famous Ben Tre coconut with a score of 4.5, followed by broken rice, special banh mi and spring rolls.
The area is also featured by TasteAtlas as a locality with high-quality beer and chocolate brands, contributing to the development of Vietnam's food and beverage industry.
The TasteAtlas Awards are a prestigious award in the field of global cuisine. In this year's rankings, Italian cities dominate the top positions with Naples (5.0 points), Milan (4.96 points) and Bologna (4.94 points) taking the top three positions respectively.
