Mr. Tran Nguyen Ba shared: "The Ngo boat race is a program that is highly anticipated by locals and tourists. To prepare carefully for the Ngo boat race as well as for long-term use, the People's Committee of Go Quao district has invested in a new, spacious embankment system with a length of nearly 350m and a width of about 15m, which will serve better and better for spectators to watch and cheer as well as other activities at the festival."
Mr. Ba also informed that at the same time as the festival, in Lai Son commune (Kien Hai district), the Whale Festival with the theme "Kien Hai island district - Potential calling" will also take place on November 15 and 16.
The Nghinh Ong Festival has a ceremony with traditional rituals such as the ceremony to invite the royal decree and the late Lady Co Chu, the installation ceremony and the peace-praying ceremony held according to traditional rituals at the historical and cultural relic of Ong Nam Hai tomb, Thien Tue hamlet, Lai Son commune.
