Responding to Lao Dong, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - Deputy Director of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information - said that specialized agencies are coordinating to check and verify before working with artists and celebrities participating in fake milk advertising.
"We are coordinating with the Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health) to check, verify, and handle other cases," Ms. Thanh Huyen informed.
When the review process is completed and there are sufficient documents, the authorities will base on that to come up with a suitable handling direction.

Previously, at the regular press conference of the first quarter of 2025 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on April 21, a representative of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information said that editor Quang Minh (Vietnam Television) was expected to be fined VND 37.5 million and MC Van Hugo was fined VND 70 million for violating regulations related to advertising.
At this meeting, Mr. Le Quang Tu Do, Director of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, said that artists with false advertising must publicly apologize and remedy the consequences, seriously take responsibility before the law and be punished according to regulations, commit not to repeat the offense.
Sharing the same view, People's Artist Xuan Bac, Director of the Department of Performing Arts Nguyen Xuan Bac emphasized that any citizen, whether a celebrity or not, must be responsible before the law for any acts of false advertising, trading in counterfeit goods...
This applies to everyone, without exception. Currently, Decree 38/2021 of the Government has specifically regulated administrative sanctions in the field of culture and advertising, with violations and corresponding fines clearly stated.
According to Director Nguyen Xuan Bac, artists and celebrities must strictly comply with the provisions of the law like all other citizens. Absolutely do not take advantage of your reputation to violate.
At the same time, they need to raise awareness and responsibility in communication and advertising activities, to avoid causing negative impacts on society and the public.

In addition, Mr. Le Quang Tu Do commented that artists and celebrities who do not have awareness and legal understanding of advertising activities when receiving contracts and advertising are "not guilty of crime" and do not verify information. Therefore, it is easy to commit illegal acts related to advertising.
The Director of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information warned about some common advertising violations. That is the use of images, costumes, equipment, names of health agencies, as well as the titles of doctors and medical staff for advertising.
Or, some advertisements introduce functional foods but provide information about their uses such as medicine; advertisements that cause misunderstanding about the quality, uses or selling price of the product; and the behavior of taking personal experiences to apply and compare with all consumers.
Notably, in the case of artists or celebrities collaborating with a production enterprise, and being paid in the form of shares, stocks or capital contributions, they will become co-producers with that enterprise.
If the business is discovered to be producing counterfeit goods and is criminally prosecuted, the artists and celebrities involved can also be prosecuted for criminal liability as accomplices in the act of producing counterfeit goods, Mr. Le Quang Tu Do emphasized.
