On the evening of March 9, the Miss Global 2025 - Miss Globe 2025 contest held in Thailand attracted the attention of audiences and the media.
Notably, a clip introducing the contest showing a map with an illegal "beef tongue road" upset Vietnamese audiences, demanding a boycott of the Miss Global contest. Immediately afterwards, the Organizing Committee posted an apology on the official Fanpage.
The apology letter reads: "We sincerely apologize for any offending behavior caused by the images we have shared recently.We have never intended to distort or disregard Vietnam's sovereignty or sensitivity surrounding territorial issues.
We highly respect Vietnam and its people.We understand the importance of selecting visual documents, especially on topics of historical and national significance".
The Organizing Committee commits to reviewing the posted content to ensure that it does not cause misunderstanding or unexpected errors.
Previously, the Miss Global 2025 Final had the competition of more than 60 beauties from countries and territories around the world. Beauty from Vietnam Nguyen Dinh Nhu Van won the highest position at the contest.
