Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper on the afternoon of May 21, Ms. Pham Khanh Phong Lan - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety - said that at the time of inspection, the company's office was closed and no samples or production site in Hanoi had been taken.
According to Ms. Phong Lan, this company will handle this case and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety will investigate it.
According to the reporter's records on the morning of May 22, the website of Ngan 98 shop, introduced on Facebook, has green ngan and cannot be accessed. However, X100 weight loss products are still sold on some e-commerce platforms.
The reporter further learned that Super Detox X3, X7 Plus and X100 are some of the weight loss products that Ngan 98 has advertised. The selling price of products on some e-commerce platforms ranges from a few hundred thousand to more than 1 million VND/box.
On May 22, when the reporter contacted DJ Ngan 98 to find out the situation, she confirmed that all products were clearly tested, ensuring quality for consumers.
The female DJ said that she has sent a petition to the authorities to protect the rights of businesses and consumers.
In response to the information that the products she sold were said to contain banned substances, Ngan 98 affirmed that she would coordinate with relevant units to prepare documents for the acts of staging incidents and slandering the products and send them to competent authorities for handling.
Ngan 98's real name is Vo Thi Hong Ngan, born in 1998, from Binh Dinh. Since 2016, she has attracted attention on social networks with offensive photos and videos.
