On October 18, in Khanh Hoa, within the framework of the activities of the 14th CAND Television and Radio Festival, the Jury began judging the entries in the categories of press works, art works and specialized programs, cinema works, specialized programs and radio works.
Of these, there are 145 press works, 62 special programs, 140 art works and special programs, 31 cinematographic works and 330 radio works.
According to the jury, this year's Festival not only had a remarkable increase in the number of participating works but also a marked improvement in quality.
Local police have invested carefully and elaborately in both content and presentation, thereby bringing quality products to the festival.
With the jury being experienced and prestigious journalists and artists in various fields, the jury believes that they will select the best and most deserving works to award gold, silver and certificates of merit.
Also today, the radio announcer and TV host competition took place with the participation of nearly 70 candidates from police units and localities across the country.
Candidates take turns going through the competition rounds such as choosing their own topics and being prepared in advance. This helps candidates reveal their strengths as well as demonstrate their mettle, confidence and professionalism. This is also the new point of the radio announcer and TV presenter competition category this year.
In the second part, the candidates will choose an examiner to ask them situational questions.
According to the judges, most of the contestants performed well. Many contestants had very good skills, not only in hosting the program but also in demonstrating intelligence and creativity in handling situations on stage.
In addition to the main activities of the Festival, the Organizing Committee organized field trips for the delegations to interact with officers and soldiers of Brigade 162 - Naval Region 4 Command.
At Brigade 162, delegates watched a film introducing Brigade 162, the most modern surface combat ship brigade of the heroic Vietnam People's Navy; and listened to news stories about the current situation of the sea and islands.
Major General Do Trieu Phong - Director of the Public Security Communications Department, Head of Organization emphasized that through occasions like this, officers and soldiers working in communications in the Public Security can better understand the glorious tradition, history of construction, growth and development of the Vietnam People's Navy in general and Brigade 162, Naval Region 4 in particular.
