At the closing ceremony of the 2026 National Cai Luong Actor Talent Competition, Chairman of the Judging Council, People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau emphasized that today's award is not the destination but a stepping stone for artists to "look back and move forward", because time and reality create true "stars". The competition process is also a measure for art units to evaluate and orient the training of successor forces.
This year's competition gathers 36 contestants from 12 public and non-public art units nationwide, taking place from May 18 to May 22 at Tran Huu Trang Cai Luong Theater (Ben Thanh ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
Closing the exciting competition days, the Organizing Committee honored 4 outstanding faces who won the First Prize, including: Truong Trong Nhan (Huynh Long Tuong Co Cai Luong Troupe), Nguyen Thi Bich Cham - stage name Bich Tram (Vu Luan Entertainment Co., Ltd.), Le Hoang Nghi (Vam Co Cai Luong Art Troupe) and Nguyen Thi Ha - stage name Ngan Ha (Vietnam National Traditional Theater).
In addition, 9 second prizes were also awarded to actors with impressive performances. Although a strong unit in previous seasons, Tran Huu Trang Theater this year missed the first prize and won 2 second prizes belonging to Nguyen Thi Diem Kieu and Duong Thi Kim Tien.
Closing a vibrant season at the 2026 National Cai Luong Actor Talent Competition, the recognition of the brilliance of young faces has affirmed the readiness of the successor human resources, creating a premise for these seeds to continue to cultivate and contribute to the country's Cai Luong stage.
