According to Korean media, a video featuring Jennie as a guest was uploaded to the YouTube channel "SsookSsook".
In the video, Jennie shared her worries about her solo comeback: "I've been preparing for this album for a year.I've been working hard on music, but the world has changed a lot. These days, just releasing a song doesn't mean people will listen to it".
She continued to share: "There's a lot of content coming from everywhere.I want to do what my fans like, but I don't know what it is.I meet with the company every day. There are a lot of younger generation artists these days and I find it hard to understand their styles".
The SsookSsook production team suggested holding a dance challenge to promote her new song. However, Jennie expressed her disappointment, saying, "I've never done a challenge before. No one has ever asked me to do a challenge with them." The idol then asked, "I'm really curious why they all exchange challenges like that?" The production team explained, "A lot of the challenges take place in the waiting room hallways of music shows." Jennie laughed and replied, "Every time I go, the hallway is empty.
Do I only go on days when no one is there?I was hoping someone would invite me to join, but no one did," she expressed.
Meanwhile, Jennie will release her new song Love Hangover on January 31, followed by her first solo album "Ruby" on March 7.
