The trend of Korean actors turning to YouTubers is increasing. Entertainment content on YouTube is also heavily invested in.

According to Koreaboo, YouTuber Ssoyoung attracted attention when appearing on MBN's Dongchimi chat show.

In the program, the female YouTuber with an account of nearly 12 million subscribers shared about her journey to build her personal channel.

Ssoyoung said: My first video of mukbang was a scene where I ate kimbap. My husband bought it for me. After a period of continuous making videos, I have reached nearly 10 million subscribers.

After that, Ssoyoung was asked if she could earn a lot of money, and the YouTuber replied by comparing the amount of money she earned as a YouTuber with her acting career.

As you all know, the amount of money earned each month will be different, depending on the number of views. But the amount of money I earn in a month as a YouTuber is more than the total amount of money I have earned over my entire 14-year acting career combined, Ssoyoung revealed.

When their on-screen opportunities are increasingly limited, they have tried their hand at being YouTubers, bringing the audience intimate content such as sharing about daily life, housework, instructions on how to wear makeup, take care of their bodies...

According to experts, the advantage of actors becoming YouTubers is that they are not bound by a specific schedule and can freely develop their lives according to their own rhythm and style.

In particular, if they are people who rarely reveal their private aspects before, the public's interest is even greater.

Entertainment content on YouTube in Korea is also growing and receiving strong investment. There are many artists who have opened their own YouTube channels to produce their own entertainment programs, in the form of talk shows combining some exchange and interaction activities.

Nowadays, actors and film crews often choose to appear on online entertainment programs, not just limited to television.
