Belonging to the romance genre, the film Our Unwritten Seoul tells the story of twin sisters Yoo Mi Ji and Yoo Mi Rae (Park Bo Young plays 2 roles).
Although they have similar appearances, they have completely different lives. After exchanging their identities through a network, Mi Ji and Mi Rae begin their journey to discover love and the true meaning of life.
Talking about the project, Park Bo Young said that she is challenging herself by getting into 4 roles - 2 twin sisters, and each of them playing the other.
Recalling her first impression of the script, the actress shared: The story of the two sisters Yoo Mi Ji and Yoo Mi Rae, brings a special feeling. I think this could be a unique experience in my life and in some ways, a great opportunity for my acting career.
The Korean star was also particularly impressed with a line in the script: I will live like you, and you will live like me. According to her, this line symbolizes a secret cctctct between the two sisters, leaving a strong impression.
I was curious about where the story would go next. I like the way the characters grow up and how they deal with their own pain and flaws in development. I believe that screenwriter Lee Kang's script has the power to touch people's hearts. That attracted me, Park Bo Young explained.
Regarding the relationship between the two characters in the film, the female star said that both Mi Ji and Mi Rae hide their flaws and emotional wounds. However, Mi Ji's charm is her sincerity and ease of connecting with others, while Mi Rae's appeal lies in her quiet, steady dedication to all situations.
To highlight the subtle but important differences between the characters, Park Bo Young focuses on the costumes, hairstyle, and expressive style of the character. For her, the story of two twin sisters changing their lives is like the way each looks in the mirror - and grows up from there.
The film Our Unwritten Seoul is scheduled to premiere on May 24.
