On the evening of August 6, the Vietnamese-Korean cooperation film "Bringing Me Go" officially joined the hundred-billion-dong club in Vietnam, when revenue reached 100 billion VND after only 6 days of release (including early screenings), with more than 1.2 million tickets sold. The film will premiere from August 1, 2025.
Not only did it resonate domestically, "Bringing your mother away" also attracted attention from international media when it was simultaneously reported by major Korean stations such as SBS, MBC, KBS... .
This is one of the outstanding collaboration projects between director Mo Hong-jin and producer Phan Gia Nhat Linh, gathering a cast of famous actors such as Hong Dao, Tuan Tran, Juliet Bao Ngoc, Jung Il-woo, Go Kyung-pyo, Quoc Khanh, Hai Trieu, Lam Vy Da, Vinh Rau...
In order to maintain the heat of the box office, the film crew has just released a series of new emotional posters, spinning deep into the relationships between the characters. Notable among them is the moment of meeting at the end of the film between the two brothers Hoan (Tuan Tran) and Ji-hwan (Go Kyung-pyo) with a heartbreaking line: "In my family, there must be at least one person who is happy" - depicting Hoan's silent sacrifice.
Another poster depicts the maternal love between Hoan and Hanh's mother (Hong Dao), when he played the instrument for his mother to sing, the eyes filled with love and sadness of a child caring for his mother with Alzheimer's disease.
In terms of content, the story in the film "Bringing mother away" easily touches the hearts of the audience when depicting maternal love. This is a strength of Korean and Vietnamese cinema over the years.
Besides the plus points, "let me go" still has minus points. According to many viewers, the closer it got to the end, the more the film was slow, and the handling was not yet complete.
The plot of the film has not pushed the audience's emotions to a climax, moving compared to initial expectations.
