According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during the Binh Ngo Tet 2026, activities in Hoi An Old Quarter will be adjusted to create conditions for the ritual and religious activities at the beginning of the year of the residential community.

Specifically, ticket sales and tour guide activities are temporarily suspended from February 16th to 19th (ie, December 29th to the end of the 3rd day of Tet). "Road for pedestrians and motorbikes" activities and "Night Street" are temporarily suspended from February 14th to 19th (from December 27th to the end of the 3rd day of Tet). Some central streets such as Tran Phu, Nguyen Thai Hoc and Bach Dang (section from Tran Quy Cap to Hoang Van Thu) are temporarily suspended earlier, from February 10th to 19th.
Although ticket sales for sightseeing, guides and pedestrian street and night street spaces are temporarily suspended according to a certain time frame, the relics on the sightseeing route are still open to serve people and tourists.
During this time, tourists can still stroll and visit the space of the Old Quarter; especially relics, communal houses, pagodas, and hội quán serving early year religious activities, thereby getting closer to the original values of a living heritage.
The adjustment helps the Hoi An spring trip become lighter, without being constrained by routes or fixed hours.
