Bustling activities but still ensuring safety
Recorded during the 2 weekends at Nha Trang cruise ship terminal (Nam Nha Trang ward), the activity of picking up and dropping off visitors to the islands took place bustlingly. The number of visitors to the island tour reached 14,000 - 18,000 per day, with more than 1,000 ships entering and leaving the wharf.
According to boat owners, most tourists are guided to get on the boat, queue up in turn, minimizing jostling or overload.

Mr. Duong Thai - owner of Ngoc Nhi tourist canoe rental service - said that despite the peak season with many customers, vehicles still follow the schedule. All canoes are fully equipped with life jackets, arranging passengers on the trip to ensure safety.
Meanwhile, tourists coming to Nha Trang tourist wharf commented that when boarding a boat, tourists are instructed to wear self-shiping life jackets when going into the water. In addition, each ship has a life raft and life buoy with a ratio of 15 people/ship.
Mr. Nguyen Vu Long - a tourist from Dak Lak - felt that cruise ship owners have very strict instructions on safety on the ship. After the boat capsize incident in Ha Long, Mr. Vu Long's family was a bit worried when deciding to go to Nha Trang.
However, as soon as he arrived at the tourist boat dock, Mr. Vu Long felt much more secure. The staff here provide very detailed instructions on how to wear life jackets, safe seat positions and regulations to comply with on the train.
All ships are inspected before the trip, the captain disseminates escape procedures in case of emergency. I highly appreciate the professionalism and dedication of the service team.
Feeling safe helps me feel completely comfortable to enjoy the beauty of Nha Trang Bay without any worries in my head" - Mr. Vu Long confided.

Proactively respond to unusual weather
Mr. Tran Van Phu - Head of Nha Trang Tourist Boat Management Department (Nha Trang Bay Management Board) - affirmed that the port management force closely coordinates with the Waterway Traffic Police and Border Guards to strictly implement regulations on safety of passenger transport.
The bay management board also established groups to discuss on social networks, connecting with hydrometeorological stations, ports and businesses operating in the bay to immediately update weather information.
In the coming time, the unit will continue to promote the maintenance of a detailed meteorological forecast model, helping tourist boats, aquaculture activities and tourists swimming proactively in all situations.
