In the petition, Mr. Nguyen An reported that he had posted 2 videos on February 11 and 13, 2025 related to the promotion of Kera vegetable candy products. He requested that the authorities provide more information about the violations and remedial measures.
Regarding this issue, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City responded at a regular meeting at the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center on the afternoon of October 10: "After studying the petition and collecting related documents, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City had a working session with Mr. Nguyen An to clarify the contents stated in the petition.
Because the content of Mr. Nguyen An's proposal is related to a number of other authorities, the department has asked Mr. Nguyen An to clearly identify the content that needs support; provide detailed evidence for the sale of Kera vegetable candy on the TikTok channel "Chubancarivewkhongbooking", as well as detailed data on income and commissions received from selling Kera vegetable candy.
After receiving the explanation report and evidence provided by Mr. Nguyen An, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City will coordinate with relevant authorities to review and resolve the case".
Regarding the Kera vegetable candy, afternoon 4.4, the investigating police agency, the Ministry of Public Security announced the decision to prosecute the accused; detention order; The search order, workplace and decisions of the Supreme People's Procuracy for 5 defendants.
Among them, there are Pham Quang Linh - also known as Quang Linh Vlogs and Nguyen Thi Thai Hang - also known as Hang Du Muc.
During the investigation, the Investigation Police Agency, Ministry of Public Security determined that the defendants had signs of committing the crime of producing counterfeit food and deceiving customers, according to the provisions of Articles 193 and 198 of the Penal Code.
As for Miss Thuy Tien, the Investigation Police Agency of Dak Lak Province Police has decided to temporarily suspend her exit from March 15, 2025 to May 15, 2025. Through investigation, Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien was temporarily suspended from leaving the country to serve the verification and investigation related to her promotion of Kera vegetable candy.
