Go to the gym to heal your soul
Instead of rushing to the gym with the goal of achieving the perfect weight and desired body shape, today's youth prefer to focus on themselves through gentle but profound exercises. This is no longer a matter of competing for shape but a journey of connecting with oneself.
Regardless of relaxation apps or short holidays, healing sports allow each person to relax in their daily life. A yoga or meditation session can “recharge” positive energy after a stressful, tiring day.
Le Minh Chau (25 years old, Hanoi) said that after each stressful working day, yoga is the choice to heal oneself from work stress and life pressures. Each hour of yoga is a time to leave work behind, to recharge and have new vitality.
Healing through sports has become a trend for young people. Gyms are crowded with young people in the afternoon and evening. They seek out activities such as yoga, meditation, pilates or mindful running not only to stay healthy but also to escape the invisible feeling of fatigue. The training sessions become a precious time to “touch” emotions, reflect and regenerate energy.
With the busy work of a foreign company, having to complete the project progress, many times Lan Ngoc (27 years old - Ho Chi Minh City) was exhausted, fell into depression, and had a mental breakdown. Not knowing how to balance, Lan Ngoc was advised by a friend to practice a sport.
Lan Ngoc shared: “My job sometimes makes me feel suffocated. But after work, I spend 3 sessions a week doing Pilates. Feeling each drop of sweat falling helps me release all my stress.”

Associate Professor, Dr. Vo Tuong Kha - Head of the Department of Sports Medicine - Hanoi National University, Vice President of the Vietnam Sports Science Association - said that exercising helps develop and improve physical fitness and immunity. Exercise and sports are also great medicine for the mind and emotions. The healing mechanism of exercise includes releasing endorphins and increasing dopamine and serotonin. These two neurotransmitters play an important role in regulating mood.
“This trend is not just about beautifying today but also brings profound benefits in the long term.Maintaining healing activities helps increase serotonin - the happy hormone, helps improve sleep, reduces anxiety and brings inner peace. This is what the young generation needs in today's vibrant society" - Associate Professor, Dr. Vo Tuong Kha said.
