The Turkish Embassy in Vietnam recently announced that from September 1, 2025, Vietnamese citizens with a regular passport can submit an application for an electronic visa to enter Turkey via the Electronic Visa System (e-visa) on the website: https://evisa.gov.tr/en/.
The electronic visa is valid for 180 days, with a maximum stay period of 30 days.
Tourists should note that they need to ensure accurate provision of all information during the visa application process to facilitate processing.
Currently, Vietnamese tourists can easily go to Turkey with direct flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Istanbul.
The flight time is about 11 hours, departing from Vietnam at around 11pm and arriving in Istanbul at around 5-6am (local time).
Tourists can rest on the night flight, before starting the next flight/travel trip in Turkey or connecting to Europe and Africa.
