According to information from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ho Chi Minh City, the heart of President Thich Quang Duc was invited to return to Vietnam Quoc Tu at 6:00 a.m. on May 3. Officially opened to Buddhists and people to worship from 1:30 p.m. the same day.
After a period of restoration and protection, the heart of President Thich Quang Duc will be forever restored at the Da Bao Tower, a memorial site for the French attack in 1963, located in the Vietnam National Park campus.
Along with the event to honor the relics of Buddha of the Rich Quang Duc Sea, the relics of Buddha of the Rich Sea and the Sea (national treasure of India) will also be visited and honored at many locations across the country, including: Thanh Tam Pagoda (Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) from May 2 to 8, Ba Den Mountain (Tay Ninh) from May 8 to 13, Quan Su Pagoda (Hanoi) from May 13 to 16 and Tam Chuc Pagoda (Ha Nam) from May 17 to 21, before being returned to India.
Regarding preparations for the 2025 Vesak Festival, Venerable Thich Duc Thien - Vice President, General Secretary of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Vice President, General Secretary of the National Organizing Committee for the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival said that important facilities such as the 2,700-seat main hall and 5 scientific conference halls have been completed. The organizers of cultural festivals, flower lantern ceremonies, and Buddhist art exhibitions also basically ensure progress. It is expected that all facilities will be handed over and equipment installation will be completed on April 28.
Within the framework of the Vesak 2025 Festival, there is also an international art exchange program with the participation of many countries and territories, taking place at Sa La Theater (Thu Duc City).
Schedule of heart-secret worship of the rector of the Golden Lotus of Thich Quang Duc in Vietnam National Park:
Start of worship: 1:30 p.m. on May 3.
The worship period is from January 4 to 10:
Morning: 8am - 11am.
Afternoon: 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm.
Afternoon of May 5: Stop receiving and worshiping.
11.5: The temporary mausoleum is permanently honored at Da Bao tower.
The Organizing Committee of the 2025 Vesak Festival reminds people and Buddhists when coming to worship to comply with regulations on clothing and behavior, not to film, take photos and not to bring children under 2 years old or people in poor health to the area of worship to ensure solemnity. All worship costs are free and the organizing committee does not accept wreaths or offerings.
