With the theme "Vinh Phuc flies up with the country", the opening ceremony of the Vinh Phuc Hot air balloon Festival 2025 was held grandly with music and dance performances with elaborate investment. The opening is a special drum performance and a modern art performance and lighting that satisfies the audience.
Within the framework of the festival, the special highlight is hot air balloon flying - a form of on-site hanging flight - serving visitors to visit and experience.
At the same time, the exhibition, shopping and culinary areas will introduce OCOP products, local specialties, fashion, handicrafts... to serve the needs of sightseeing, shopping and experience of tourists. In particular, virtual reality entertainment areas and entertainment games will create a colorful festival space.
It is expected that the event will attract tens of thousands of domestic and foreign tourists to have fun, contributing to the goal of Vinh Phuc welcoming more than 11 million visitors in 2025.
"In time for this year's holiday, Vinh Yen city and Ho Chi Minh Square are decorated brilliantly, so everyone wants to visit. My children are very happy to experience the large-scale cultural and tourism event of Vinh Phuc for the first time," said Mr. Nguyen Duc Hanh from Song Lo district.
According to the Organizing Committee, there will be a total of 13 decorative hot air balloons, 10 Heli gas pump hot air balloon models, 4 unmanned hanging hot air balloons and 3 manned hanging hot air balloons. The hot air balloons will operate continuously from 7am to 10pm throughout the 5 holidays.
There is an exhibition, shopping, and culinary area with a scale of 60 - 100 booths introducing OCOP products, local specialties, fashion, handicrafts... to serve the sightseeing and shopping needs of tourists. The virtual reality playground and entertainment games also create a colorful festival space.
On May 4, the closing ceremony of the Festival will end with a brilliant carnival performance and a performance flight of 3 hot air balloons of level 7-8, promising to bring an unforgettable impression to visitors.
Held for the first time, the 2025 Vinh Phuc Hot air balloon Festival not only brings outstanding performances but also opens a new direction for the province's tourism industry.
The event is organized on a large scale to create a cultural and artistic space to promote and introduce the image, land, people, potential and advantages for local cultural and tourism development to visitors from near and far.
To ensure the organization of the 2025 Hot air balloon Festival, from 7:00 a.m. on April 30 to 10:00 p.m. on May 4, Vinh Yen City will temporarily ban the road on Hai Ba Trung Street from the intersection with Ly Thai To Street to the intersection with Me Linh Street (the intersection of the Circuit House roundabout).
