On the evening of November 23, the final of Mr World 2024 took place in Phan Thiet City.
Vietnam’s representative, Pham Tuan Ngoc, opened the show with a performance called Dance of the World, showing off his flute playing and martial arts skills. The top 60 then performed in national costumes, divided by continent.
The top 20 list includes the US, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Peru and Argentina (Americas and Caribbean); Belgium, Spain, Italy and the Czech Republic (Europe); Sierra Leone, Kenya and Angola (Africa); Myanmar, Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, Türkiye, Lebanon and Vietnam (Asia - Oceania).
Representatives from Thailand and China were disappointed not to make it to the top. After the announcement of the top 20, the contestants showed off their swimsuits. Representatives from the Czech Republic, Peru, and the United States impressed with their strong muscles.
The Top 10 are named by continent, including representatives from Puerto Rico, Venezuela (America and Caribbean); Czech Republic, Spain (Europe); Angola, Kenya (Africa); India, Turkey, Vietnam, Sri Lanka (Asia - Oceania).
After being selected, the contestants immediately entered the interview round. Tuan Ngoc received the question: "How do you use social networks to bring about positive changes?".
Tuan Ngoc answered in English, speaking fluently. He said: "We are living in an era of globalization and social media plays an important role in our lives. I think social media is a powerful tool to amplify the voice of our young generation. And if I have the opportunity to amplify my voice, I will use the Mr World platform to raise awareness for everyone, to make a difference for our generation."
The top 4 excellent contestants were quickly revealed, including contestants from Puerto Rico, Spain, Angola and Vietnam.
In the end, Pham Tuan Ngoc, 25 years old, from Hai Phong - won the first runner-up position. Puerto Rico's representative Danny Mejia Romero was crowned Mr World 2024.
Mr World is one of three major male pageants run by the Miss World Organization. The pageant was first held in 1996 and is held annually. This year, the show returns after a four-year hiatus.
Mr World 2024 takes place from November 5 to 23 in Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Phan Thiet. 60 contestants participate in activities and sub-competitions such as Mr Sport, Mr Talent, National Costume, Top Model, Head to head challenge, and private interviews.
Pham Tuan Ngoc was born in 1999, from Hai Phong, 1.84 m tall, masculine appearance. In the sprint, the Vietnamese contestant entered a series of sub-awards, including top 5 Talent, Top 12 Best Fashion Show, top 20 Head To Head Challenge, top 20 National Costume, top 17 Multimedia Challenge and top 5 Charity Project.
