The story revolves around the journey to find oneself of Ji Kang Hee (Lee Se Young) - a girl who grew up in a rural motel named Motel California and her love story with her childhood friend - Cheon Yeon Soo (Na In Woo).
Looking back at the newly finished work, Na In Woo still could not help but feel overwhelmed. Revealing to the Korean media, the actor said that he was attracted to the film because the plot was like a fairy tale, separate from reality and Cheon Yeon Soo was the most harmless character in the world.
I want my character - Cheon Yeon Soo, to become more realistic. Instead of depicting Yeon Soo as an ideal man similar to the original work, I would like to depict him as a truly existential person. That is why Motel California is the project that most clearly shows who I am.
I have tried very hard to highlight the similarities between myself and the character. I don't think that the idea of loving only one person for the whole life is a given. Of course it's hard to wait for one person, but I think that's something everyone can do. I focus on expressing delicate emotions to make the character realistic, he explained.
According to the 31-year-old star, he is a somewhat stubborn person and never gives up. Thanks to that, every time he looks back at the past, he does not regret because he has always tried his best.
"If I work hard and try my best, there is nothing to regret. But that is only true if I can honestly say that I have tried my best. You have to try hard enough to say, I tried my best, to avoid self-excusation.
