The story of the sandbars in the middle of the river in the West recently became popular when a TikToker created a series of videos starting with the story of going to a funeral on the sandbar.

Islet, or island, is not strange to people in the West and tourists in the Mekong Delta. In this land, no one has counted how many islets and sandbanks there are emerging from large rivers with a lot of alluvium.

There are many islands in the provinces of Vinh Long, Can Tho, Tien Giang, Tra Vinh, Ben Tre, Soc Trang... These islands have in common fertile and lush land, where Southern people grow many delicious agricultural products.

Recently, the sand dunes have been used for aquaculture and tourism development. Tourists should not miss the opportunity to explore the garden life of the Western people on the most famous sand dunes on the tourist map.

On the Tien River, there are 4 islands known as the four sacred animals: Long Island, Lan Island, Qui Island, and Phung Island. From Ho Chi Minh City, traveling 70km along National Highway 1A, visitors will arrive at Rach Mieu Bridge. From here, you can see the four sacred animals of this land.

Long Islet is located in My Tho City, Tien Giang Province. This is a mound of land emerging in the middle of the Tien River, thanks to the alluvial deposits that formed the hill; Long Islet is the most famous of the four islets for its agricultural products and fruits.

Con Lan, also known as Con Thoi Son, is located in the lower reaches of Tien River, Thoi Son, My Tho city, Tien Giang province. With an area of 50 hectares, this island has 6,000 residents. This is an attractive Western tourist destination to explore the gardens thanks to the favorable climate and rivers.

This islet annually supplies the market with a large amount of delicious and valuable fruits, worthy of being one of the major fruit orchards of Tien Giang. Many famous fruits include star apple, rambutan, longan... Visitors exploring Thoi Son islet also have the opportunity to experience a sampan floating on the canals to explore the attractive fruit-laden gardens on the islets on both sides.

Qui Islet is just a small islet between Tan Thach and Quoi Son communes, while Phung Islet is located in Tan Thach commune, Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre province. This islet has a total area of about 30,000 m2 with a very developed eco-tourism model. Local people have taken advantage of the alluvial soil deposited in the garden to take care of cool trees.

Con My Phuoc is a hamlet in Nhon My commune, Ke Sach district, Soc Trang province. The whole hamlet has nearly 300 hectares of fruit trees, of which nearly 90% is longan. Therefore, this place is also affectionately called Con Nhan.

Located in the middle of Hau River in Ke Sach District, Phong Nam Islet has a very special position because it is the junction of 3 provinces: Soc Trang, Vinh Long and Tra Vinh. Although surrounded by water, Phong Nam Islet is not much of a hindrance in traveling because of its relatively complete ferry system. Currently, there are 3 ferry routes connecting to the mainland of Ke Sach District, of which the Phong Nam - An Lac Thon ferry route is capable of carrying both cars and trucks.

Phong Nam Islet also has ferries connecting it to Luc Sy Thanh Commune, Tra On District, Vinh Long Province and Tan Qui Islet, An Phu Tan Commune, Cau Ke District, Tra Vinh Province. Thereby, creating favorable conditions for tourists from many provinces in the region to visit.

Located about 6km from the city center, Con Son (in Bui Huu Nghia ward, Binh Thuy district, Can Tho city) is a land area of less than 75 hectares, located in the middle of Hau river, surrounded by water on all sides.

Previously, people living on this islet mainly grew fruit trees, raised fish, etc. because of the isolation, they faced many difficulties. But in recent years, Con Son has become famous for garden tourism with many unique products, attracting many domestic and foreign tourists to visit and experience.
