Bich Tuyen and Dam Vinh Hung couple "turn their backs" because of the 15 million USD lawsuit

NGỌC ANH |

Responding to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper on the morning of November 21, singer Bich Tuyen said that she and her husband, Dam Vinh Hung, turned their backs on each other because of the 15 million USD lawsuit.

Regarding the case of singer Dam Vinh Hung suing singer Bich Tuyen and her husband for compensation of 15 million USD, which caused a stir, the reporter contacted the female singer to find out more information.

Sharing with Lao Dong reporter, singer Bich Tuyen (currently in the US) affirmed: "Regarding Dam Vinh Hung's $15 million lawsuit, my husband did not do anything wrong to demand such a large amount of compensation."

Singer Bich Tuyen added that she and her husband will not compromise on the amount of compensation Dam Vinh Hung requested: "We will go to court, we will not negotiate or compromise with Dam Vinh Hung."

According to information provided by singer Bich Tuyen, the trial of the lawsuit between the female singer and her husband and Dam Vinh Hung will take place earlier than originally scheduled in June 2025.

When reporters asked more about the current relationship between singer Bich Tuyen and Dam Vinh Hung after the lawsuit, the singer frankly shared: "Currently, my husband and I and Dam Vinh Hung have turned our backs on each other. We are waiting for the court to resolve the lawsuit."

According to singer Bich Tuyen, she and her husband worked with a team of lawyers in the US on the lawsuit from Dam Vinh Hung and found that some details were inaccurate and did not reflect the true nature of the incident.

As for Dam Vinh Hung, reporters have also contacted him to ask questions about the incident. However, the male singer has yet to give any response at this time.

Regarding the lawsuit, male singer Dam Vinh Hung asked Mr. Gerard Richard Williams, 51 years old, to compensate about 15 million USD. He mentioned the health, mental and financial losses after the accident that occurred at Mr. Gerard Richard Williams's mansion in Newport Coast, California in February 2024.

According to the lawsuit, plaintiff Hung Huynh, better known by his stage name singer Dam Vinh Hung, sued Mr. Gerard Richard Williams for failing to ensure the safety of guests at a party held at his mansion in Newport Coast.

The incident left the male singer seriously injured and had to have several toes amputated. Dam Vinh Hung said the accident forced him to change his schedule, canceling many performances in March and April 2024 to focus on treatment, resulting in significant financial losses. His spirit was also affected.

In the petition, the male singer stated that on February 19, while attending a party at Mr. Gerard's mansion, he was hit in the foot by debris from a concrete fountain. The fountain was used as a stage and an outdoor beverage stand but broke during the event. Dam Vinh Hung claimed that the defendant did not inspect and maintain the construction items according to regulations, leading to a serious incident. He requested Mr. Gerard to compensate him for the corresponding amount of money for medical expenses, financial losses due to canceled performances, and compensation for mental damage.

The California Supreme Court confirmed it had accepted the case on November 4 and forwarded it to the judicial branch for processing. The first hearing is scheduled for June 2025.
