At the press conference, Major General Do Trieu Phong - Director of the Public Security Communications Department, Head of Information Organization, the 14th Public Security Television and Radio Festival in 2024 with the theme "Transformation - Creativity - Breakthrough" was held from October 17 to October 23, in Nha Trang City.
The program will have nearly 600 delegates attending, including officers, soldiers, reporters, editors, and MCs inside and outside the People's Public Security Forces from 75 delegations of Public Security units, localities, and press and media agencies outside the People's Public Security Forces.
Up to now, the Organizing Committee has received more than 766 entries from delegations participating in the festival.
The festival will have contest contents such as press works on the topic of security and order; art works and specialized programs; Security and Order column broadcast on local radio and television stations; contests for announcers, program hosts and works in the radio genre on the topic of security and order; digital platform video works; radio works; Cinema works.
Major General Do Trieu Phong assessed that the CAND Television and Radio Festival is a traditional activity of CAND television and radio workers, organized by the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with Vietnam Television every two years in many localities across the country.
Regarding the spread of this festival, Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan - Deputy Director X04, Director of CAND Television, Deputy Head of the Festival - shared that the Organizing Committee chose Khanh Hoa as the venue for this festival because the locality is the economic and social center of the region.
Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan assessed that in order to spread the festival this time, in addition to the main activities, the Ministry of Public Security will organize sideline activities. In which, people will attend the opening and closing ceremonies of the festival.
The Ministry of Public Security will also organize sharing on a number of social media platforms to make the event accessible to many people.
This year, the People's Public Security Television and Radio Festival has been held for 13 times. This is not only a competition for press works, but also a place to exchange knowledge and experience of the staff working in propaganda of the People's Public Security Forces in general and those working in television and radio inside and outside the People's Public Security Forces in particular, contributing to effectively serving the propaganda work on protecting national security and maintaining social order and safety of the Public Security Forces.
