The music of the Bond String Quartet is so widely listened to that audiences around the world, including Vietnam, no longer consider it difficult music. The freshness, captivating performance and energetic sound of the four Bond girls have captivated audiences everywhere.
In addition to using electronic string instruments with eye-catching designs, the 4 female members of Bond all have model-like bodies and partly because of that, Bond's MVs often attract a huge number of views and are always well received by the audience, in which "Shine" and "Victory"... have become national melodies.
With their debut single “Victory”, Bond became famous when the song reached the top 1 in many charts. The first album – “Born” was recorded in 2000 and released in early 2001 and quickly sold more than 1 million copies worldwide.
However, the group also received a lot of criticism because of its too new style, too sexy when combined with high heels and often considered unsuitable for classical music. However, no one can deny the influence of Bond music around the world with admirable achievements.
The group's successful albums include: "Born: Shine" (2002), "Remixed" (2003), "Classified" (2004) and "Explosive: The Best of Bond" (2005). To date, Bond has sold more than 5 million albums worldwide and is the most successful string quartet in the history of world music.
When the group first formed, Bond was dubbed the “Spice Girls of classical music,” but the four female members have since captivated listeners with their blend of different musical genres and electronic performances to create a unique sound that no other girl group can imitate.
That is why, after more than 2 decades, Bond still has a large fan base worldwide with concerts always packed with audiences because of his timeless music and style. To date, Bond has owned 56 platinum discs, 15 gold discs with songs topping the charts of many countries.
Bond music has also been used in famous Hollywood movies and major sporting events.
Eos said she was not surprised that the group's songs were successful globally because they wrote music with pop producers. They never thought of themselves as classical musicians and always looked for global stories to incorporate into their works. Therefore, Bond's songs easily ranked at the top of the classical music charts in more than 60 countries.
The news that Bond will come to Vietnam to perform on October 5, at the National Convention Center, Hanoi, has fans eagerly awaiting.
It is known that the event is part of the international music project for the community "Good Morning Vietnam" and all ticket sales revenue will be donated to support people affected by storm No. 3.
