According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, after many years of not being completely restored, many items of the special national relic Xam Temple (also known as Ham Communal House) in Hong Quang Ward, Ninh Binh Province are seriously deteriorating. This is the temple worshiping Senior Lieutenant General Tran Minh Cong (aka Tran Lam), who had great merit in helping Dinh Bo Linh ward off the chaos of 12 ambassadors.

With its typical historical, cultural and architectural values, in 2025, Xam Temple will be ranked as a Special National Monument.
The overall relic site includes a main temple in the middle; 2 dance halls built on both sides, in front of which is the Song Palace for singing and performance. However, the items are gradually deteriorating such as: broken tiles, moldy ironwood columns, and debris at the foot of the column; sophisticated carved reliefs and molds.


Right outside the Hat communal house, the leaking rain caused the walls, pillars, and moisture.
Inside the ancient temple, there are also signs of damage, large cracks appear on the walls, some walls are leaking water, the pedestal is crooked and not flat.

According to the leader of the People's Committee of Hong Quang Ward (Ninh Binh Province), the locality has reviewed, prepared a report on the current status of the relic and completed related documents to propose a plan to restore and expand the space of the Xam Temple relic site, and submitted it to the People's Committee of Ninh Binh Province for consideration according to regulations. In addition, the proposed planning scope is about 30 hectares, aiming to create a suitable land fund for the protection, restoration and promotion of the value of the relic.
In the coming time, the local government will continue to closely coordinate with specialized agencies to strengthen the work of preserving, preserving and promoting the value of the special national relic Xam Temple.
