It is known that the "Bui Xuan Phai - For the Love of Hanoi" award ceremony awarded 4 prizes out of 9 official nominations. The most important category - Grand Prize - was awarded to Prof. Dr. Architect Hoang Dao Kinh - a "Knight of architectural relics".
Rarely is there an architect who has devoted his entire life to the conservation of monuments and cultural heritage like Prof. Dr. Architect Hoang Dao Kinh. His career spans from North to South with the conservation and restoration of many typical monument systems in Hanoi, Hue, Hoi An, My Son, etc.
"I am still most attached to Hanoi, both in my professional work and in my thoughts. But seriously speaking, the things I have done for Hanoi in terms of visual aspects are probably not much, because there are not always opportunities. Anyway, I have spent a lot of effort and time taking care of Hanoi's relics, and I am satisfied with whatever I have achieved" - Professor Hoang Dao Kinh said.
In addition, the "Bui Xuan Phai - For the love of Hanoi" award ceremony also awarded 3 equal prizes including:
Work Award - The book "Hanoi in modern times - from concession to city" (1873 - 1945) by Dao Thi Dien published by Hanoi Publishing House and Nha Nam;
Idea Award - Project to renovate and embellish the space and landscape around Thien Quang Lake and its vicinity, researched and built by Hai Ba Trung District People's Committee in 2023.
Job Award - Promoting Hanoi tourism through the MV "Going Home" by saxophone artist - Kenny G produced by Nhan Dan Newspaper and IB Group Vietnam.
