Hai Duong - The 2025 Con Son - Kiep Bac Spring Festival officially opened on the morning of February 13, at the Con Son - Kiep Bac Special National Relic Site.

The Con Son - Kiep Bac Spring Festival in 2025 will be held on a large scale, attracting thousands of locals and tourists to attend.

The opening ceremony includes main activities: Art program "Con Son imprints the footprints of the people"; drum beating to open the festival; proclamation of the life and career of the Third Patriarch of Truc Lam Huyen Quang Venerable; incense offering ceremony, exhibition of the theme "Hai Duong imprints the footprints of the people"...

The rituals of the festival are maintained including: Water procession, memorial and festival opening ceremony, sacrifice ceremony on Ngu Nhac mountain, death anniversary ceremony and Mong Son food offering...

The festival includes a contest of wrapping Chung cake, pounding Giay cake; traditional wrestling, chess and many other unique cultural and sports activities.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, in the sacred atmosphere of Con Son mountains and forests, delegates, people and tourists from all over respectfully offered incense to commemorate the 691st anniversary of the passing of the Third Patriarch of the Truc Lam Zen sect, Venerable Huyen Quang.

Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau affirmed that Con Son - Kiep Bac is a land of "spiritual people", a place where cultural quintessence converges, closely associated with the heroic and glorious history of the Vietnamese people. This is the place where many noble people and hermits gathered; where the National Duke and Commander-in-Chief Hung Dao Dai Vuong - Tran Quoc Tuan established his headquarters to fight against the Yuan army; where the Three Patriarchs of Truc Lam - Huyen Quang Ton Gia hid; Tu Do Tran Nguyen Dan opened Thanh Hu Cave and also here, the national hero Nguyen Trai chose as the place to "Contemplate and think about the people's affairs and the country's destiny".

Therefore, for generations, Con Son - Kiep Bac has remained "The sacred mountain is still there, the relics are not faded"; many heroes have respectfully bowed before the majestic Con Son and the majestic Kiep Bac.

Every spring, our compatriots in the country, overseas Vietnamese and tourists from all over the world come to the Con Son - Kiep Bac relic site to light incense sticks in memory of the Third Patriarch of the Truc Lam Zen sect of Buddhism - Venerable Huyen Quang.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau affirmed that with the desire to rise strongly, the leaders of Hai Duong province have set out a socio-economic development plan for 2025 with many important goals, creating a solid foundation for the next stage of development.

In particular, the determination to achieve double-digit economic growth, striving to reach 12%; focusing on investment in building synchronous, green, smart, and modern economic and social infrastructure.

At the same time, Hai Duong province pays special attention to comprehensively improving the quality of people's material and spiritual life, building a healthy, progressive cultural environment imbued with the cultural identity of the Eastern region.
