The "Hanoi Singing Contest 2024" aims to honor cultural and artistic values, promote the development of the capital's cultural industry and celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Hanoi Radio and Television Station (October 14, 1954 - October 14, 2024).
The competition will create opportunities for artists to create and perform traditional and contemporary musical works with themes of praising the Fatherland, the Party, Uncle Ho, love for the Capital, homeland - country, contributing to promoting creativity and artistic development.
In particular, the contest also creates conditions for the development of young musical talents, searching for new faces and voices with great potential to participate in art programs on Hanoi radio and television.
According to Mr. Nguyen Kim Khiem - General Director of Hanoi Radio and Television Station, the mark from the contest "Hanoi Television Singing Voice", now "Hanoi Singing Voice" is not only a "bright mark" on the artistic path of the artists, but also creates momentum, helping excellent singers gain a place in the hearts of the audience.
“Hanoi Singing is not only a singing contest for citizens of the capital, but also an opportunity for singers from all over the country who want to sing about Hanoi and from Hanoi,” Mr. Khiem affirmed.
The entries will be selected according to 3 musical performance styles: Classical Chamber Music, Folk Music and Light Music, focusing on songs about Hanoi, especially songs associated with the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Capital.
Accordingly, the jury and professional advisors including famous artists, musicians and singers such as: People's Artist Quang Vinh - Chairman of Hanoi Music Association, People's Artist Quoc Hung - Deputy Director of Vietnam National Academy of Music, People's Artist Mai Hoa, singer Ho Quynh Huong, musician Giang Son... will select the best candidates to award 1 Special Prize (worth 500 million VND); 3 First Prizes (100 million VND/prize); 3 Second Prizes (50 million VND/prize); 3 Third Prizes (20 million VND/prize) and 5 Special Prizes (10 million VND/prize).
Registration period starts from now until November 19.
The final night is scheduled to take place on December 26 at Ho Guom Theater (Hanoi).
