Madam, with the current status, how many criteria has the National Monument of the Tomb of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac achieved compared to the general requirements?
Ms. Huynh Thi Hoai Thu: Compared with the criteria specified in points a, b, c in Clause 3, Article 29 of the Law on Cultural Heritage, the National Monument of the Tomb of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac meets all the criteria of being a monument of special national value associated with a typical celebrity who had a great influence on the historical process of the nation.
The monument is the resting place of Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac (1862-1929) - a Confucian scholar who devoted his life to the country and the people and was the father of President Ho Chi Minh - the national liberation hero, an outstanding cultural figure, a genius leader of the Party and the people of Vietnam. He was also the one who sowed the seeds of patriotic revolution for the people of many localities on the way to the South, especially in Dong Thap province, where he chose to live the last years of his life.
How does Dong Thap implement investment work to make relics meet standards?
Ms. Huynh Thi Hoai Thu: It is an honor to represent the people of the whole country and the Nguyen Sinh family to look after the tomb and worship the Vice-Principal Nguyen Sinh Sac. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Thap province advised the Provincial People's Committee to implement the "Project to restore, embellish and promote the value of the Nguyen Sinh Sac Relic Site", including 18 bid packages. The bid packages are being implemented simultaneously to complete the architecture, landscape, construction works and synchronized technical infrastructure; to embellish and promote the cultural and historical values of the National Relic of the Tomb of Vice-Principal Nguyen Sinh Sac.
Implementing the direction of the General Secretary of the Central Party Committee, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the wishes of the people of Dong Thap province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is advising the Provincial People's Committee to organize and complete the scientific dossier of Nguyen Sinh Sac relic to submit to the Prime Minister for ranking as a special national relic.
According to the roadmap, when is the expected time to complete the work and recognize the Special National Monument?
Ms. Huynh Thi Hoai Thu: The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Thap province will implement and complete the scientific dossier of the Tomb of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac to be ranked as a special national relic in parallel with the construction of the bid packages of the "Project to restore, embellish and promote the value of the Nguyen Sinh Sac relic site".
After the construction project is completed (expected in August 2025), the scientific dossier will be completed and submitted to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for appraisal and submission to the Prime Minister for consideration. Strive to announce the Decision to rank as a special national monument on the occasion of the 96th death anniversary of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac (December 2025).

Ms. Huynh Thi Hoai Thu: After being ranked by the Prime Minister, Nguyen Sinh Sac Relic Site became the second special national relic of Dong Thap province. This is not only a great honor and pride for Dong Thap province and the whole country, but also enhances the position of Dong Thap province. Thereby, it serves well and thoughtfully the leaders of the Party, State, people nationwide, overseas Vietnamese, friends, international guests who come to visit and study the ideology, moral example, and personality of Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac...
This not only contributes to building the local image according to the province's tourism development project, opening up many favorable conditions for research, preservation and promotion of the historical and cultural values of the relic site..., but also creates more value, potential and unique strengths in cultural tourism of Dong Thap province, contributing to building the cultural criteria and people of Dong Thap "loyalty, dynamism, creativity".

Nguyen Sinh Sac Relic Site (Cao Lanh City) started construction on August 22, 1975 and was inaugurated on February 13, 1977. On April 9, 1992, it was recognized as a National Historical and Cultural Relic by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism). On May 19, 1990, on the occasion of the 100th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, Dong Thap started construction of the model of Uncle Ho's stilt house, lotus pond and the re-enactment of the ancient Hoa An village with an area of 22,000m2... Currently, the relic site consists of 4 sub-areas: Tomb area, temple, exhibition house of the life and career of the Vice-Principal, Exhibition house of the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh; Uncle Ho's stilt house area and fish pond garden; Cultural space of the ancient Hoa An village and the area for organizing folk games and entertainment, with a total area of nearly 9 hectares.
