Sa Pa will charge entrance fees to Cat Cat Waterfall and Fansipan peak

Lao Cai - Sa Pa Town will apply entrance fees at the relics and scenic spots of Cat Cat Waterfall and Fansipan peak.

On December 27, the People's Committee of Sa Pa town informed that the locality will officially collect fees from tourists when visiting the Fansipan peak area and Cat Cat Waterfall from January 1, 2025.

According to the People's Committee of Sa Pa town, the fee collection is to protect and promote the value of relics and scenic spots, while maintaining conservation and sustainable tourism development.

The fee is collected by organizations and individuals (including Vietnamese and foreign visitors) visiting the scenic spot Cat Cat Waterfall and Fansipan Peak Area.

The fee for people aged 16 and over is 10,000 VND/person/time; and for children under 16 years old is 5,000 VND/person/time.

In addition, the subjects exempted from the fee include: Children aged 6 and under, people with severe disabilities, leaders of the Party and State, and special guests with the opinion of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Sa Pa town.

Together with primary, middle and high school students in the town, the school organizes annual extracurricular trips registered with the units directly managing the scenic spots.

Subjects eligible for a 50% reduction in entrance fees include: People who enjoy preferential policies for cultural enjoyment, the elderly according to regulations, people with disabilities, etc.

Fee collection will take place in the form of direct sightseeing collection in cash or transfer to the account of the Tourism and Monuments Development Management Board once per person.
