The seminar was organized by the Propaganda Department and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. This is an occasion to evaluate the half -century of formation and development of literature and art of Ho Chi Minh City, thereby giving strategic directions to promote good traditions, adapt to the new context, meet the requirements of cultural development in the period of integration and digital conversion.
This activity also contributes to concretizing the Conclusion No. 84-KL/TW of the Politburo on continuing the implementation of Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW, affirming the special role of literature and art in the spiritual life of society, in the construction of advanced culture, imbued with national identity.
The Organizing Committee of the seminar has received 86 presentations from scientists, researchers, artists, cultural experts and representatives of specialized associations.
The articles not only summarize the theory and practice of creating art and literature for 50 years, but also raises a series of contemporary issues such as: The impact of digital technology on art, the role of social networks in creating and spreading works, requirements for aesthetic education for the younger generation, as well as challenging to preserve identity in the global era.
More than 300 delegates attended the seminar, including the leaders of the City Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of departments, branches, localities, cultural and art training institutions, and numerous artists, experts and managers.
The seminar is expected to create a connection space between generations of artists and researchers, thereby contributing to creating the cultural and artistic ecosystem of the city with its own identity, consistent with the characteristics of a large, dynamic, creative and integration in the country.
The summarizing and recommendations from the seminar will be an important reference basis for the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to continue directing and planning the policy of cultural and art development of Ho Chi Minh City in the new period.
