“Zorba - Detective Cat” - the work is a joint creative and collaborative project between the Youth Theater and SangsangMaru Theater (Korea) with the aim of promoting international cultural and artistic exchange for children, as a special gift on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival and welcoming the new school year.
The musical "Zorba - Detective Cat" is also the result of the dedication of more than 50 performing artists, creators, and stage technical experts from the Youth Theater and SangsangMaru Theater for 2 years.
With the motto “Art without borders”, Tuoi Tre Theater wishes to bring professional musical art closer to the audience, expressing the enthusiasm and passion, dedication to the profession and the dream of contributing of artists from Vietnam and Korea.
Meritorious Artist Si Tien - Director of the Youth Theater said, "The musical will bring fresh and creative contemporary materials and language. We expect this work to become an important highlight, marking a turning point in the theater's theatrical activities aimed at young audiences."
Korean music director Rhim Seyoung added: “This is a Korean musical that has been Vietnamized by Vietnamese actors and performed in Vietnamese. Although we have different languages and cultures, we have created the musical together with a common heart and affection for Vietnamese audiences.”
“Zorba - Detective Cat” tells the story of detective Zorba's adventures in the cat kingdom of Ypres - the land ruled by Queen Freya, while Prime Minister Pitha, with his dark ambitions, always seeks to divide the peace in the kingdom to seize power.
Cat detective Zorba, with courage and intelligence, together with his friends overcame challenges, defeated all the plots of General Pitha, and restored peace between the world of cats and humans.
With an engaging plot, “Zorba - The Detective Cat” will be a perfect play in both content and form, leaving an unforgettable impression on parents and children.
