Speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Vu Hai Nam - Chairman of the Trade Union of An Do Duong Company Limited (Thot Not District, Can Tho City) - assessed that this year, the company's business situation is relatively better than last year. The salary of workers is generally quite stable throughout the year. The company also invests more in repairing machinery and equipment.
According to Mr. Nam, the company's Board of Directors is discussing the Tet bonus for workers and employees and is expected to be better than last year. "In addition to a stable working environment and good salary, Tet bonus is also a factor that helps retain employees to continue to work with the company. Tet bonus is what workers expect after a year of hard work, affecting their psychology and productivity, so the company is very interested in this issue," Mr. Nam shared.
With a workforce of about 1,000 people, Mr. Quach Minh Thao - Chairman of the Trade Union of Tri - Viet International Company Limited (Can Tho City) - informed that the production situation and workers' salaries at the company this year have remained stable. Compared to last year, the company has increased by about 70 employees.
Although the specific Tet bonus for workers and employees at the company has not been announced, Mr. Thao said that the 13th month salary and Tet gifts will be guaranteed. To create motivation as well as a joyful atmosphere on Tet, the company will also organize a year-end party for all employees of the unit.
Together with the Union to take care of union members and workers
Every year, on the occasion of Tet, the Trade Union of An Do Duong Company Limited will coordinate with the Labor Federation of Thot Not District to organize activities to take care of union members: "Usually, the Trade Union will give Tet gifts to union members, although there is no specific number, but basically there will still be," said Mr. Nam.
Mr. Thao said that along with the general care activities of the Can Tho City Trade Union, the Company's Trade Union will also have its own programs, similar to last year. These include activities such as gift giving, performing arts, etc. to take care of both material and spiritual needs of union members and employees during Tet.
At this time, Can Tho City's Trade Unions at all levels are actively implementing activities to care for Tet for union members and workers. Key activities will include the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng", the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market; the program to accompany union members and workers in difficult circumstances; organizing meetings of union officials through the periods; the program to accompany businesses and grassroots trade unions; the program to accompany social security work... It is expected that about 13,000 Tet gifts will be given to union members and workers in difficult circumstances and with low incomes.
The City’s Trade Unions at all levels will also proactively work with relevant agencies to grasp the situation, inspect and supervise the payment of salaries and bonuses to employees during Tet. Along with that, they will strengthen dialogue and negotiation activities with employers on production plans, salary and bonus payments for Tet; and take care of the material and spiritual lives of union members and employees during Tet.
The program "Accompanying union members and workers in difficult circumstances" is expected to support 9,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances; those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, affected by natural disasters, fires; those whose working hours have been reduced, those who have lost their jobs; union members and workers from policy families; workers who have not had the opportunity to return home for Tet for many years, and workers who have not returned home to work, work, or produce during Tet. The financial resources of the unions will support no more than 10% of the total number of union members of the unit. The cash support level is 500,000 VND/person.
