2 brick companies in Dong Nai set pay date for workers

Two brick companies in Dong Nai announced the date to pay wages and finalize insurance for about 200 workers after a report from Lao Dong Newspaper.

Regarding the case that about 200 workers of King Minh Ceramic Tile Manufacturing Company Limited and Dong Nai Granite Tile Company Limited (Phuoc Tan Ward, Bien Hoa City) were owed wages and social insurance for many months, which Lao Dong Newspaper has reported in many articles, recently, these two companies have issued notices, set pay dates, and finalized insurance for employees.

According to the company's announcement, currently, the financial source is limited, so the company can only pay the salaries of July and August for staff and employees. For September salary, the company will only pay a maximum of 14 days of waiting salary according to the regional minimum (VND 4,960,000/month) and actual working days. The remaining days are unpaid leave. Payment of annual leave and KPI for employees who quit their jobs in accordance with regulations in September 2024 will be paid in December 2024.

For social insurance closing procedures, the company performs 2 steps.

Accordingly, at the end of October 2024, the company will close the unemployment insurance participation period until September 2024 for employees who have quit their jobs to receive unemployment insurance. In November 2024, the company will reserve the book and close the social insurance until September 2024 for employees who have quit their jobs.

The company also said that due to continuous losses over a long period of time, the company was forced to temporarily suspend production from August 26, 2024. The company's management is also making efforts to resume production as soon as possible.

Previously, reflecting to Lao Dong Newspaper, many workers said they had been owed wages and insurance for many months.

According to information from Dong Nai Province Social Insurance, the two brick companies in Dong Nai mentioned above currently owe workers' insurance of more than 2 billion VND.
