On June 13, the People's Committee of Tan Hoa commune (Minh Hoa district) confirmed that an incident had just occurred in the area where two women were swept away by floodwaters and went missing.
According to initial information, at around 1:00 a.m. the same day, 3 women residing in village 3, Tan Hoa commune went to see frog.
While they were on the way, they were unfortunately swept away by floodwaters, one person managed to get to shore safely, the other two were swept away by the water and went missing.
The local government said that the two missing victims were siblings in the same family. Immediately after receiving the report, the authorities organized a search along the branches of the stream and the area where the victim was suspected of being swept away.
The search is still being urgently deployed, however, due to prolonged heavy rain and strong water flow, many difficulties have been encountered.
