On the morning of November 12, Cha Lo International Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard) said that 2 container trucks collided, causing traffic congestion on route 12A.
The incident occurred at around 9:00 a.m. at Km135+500, when 2 container trucks with UN 83... and UN 56... traveling in opposite directions collided strongly. The collision caused severe damage to the front of both vehicles, lying across the road.
At the scene, 2 containers occupied the entire road, making it impossible for vehicles in both directions to move. By 10:00 a.m. the same day, route 12A, the main axis leading to Cha Lo International Border Gate, was still congested for about 2km.
Currently, the authorities are investigating the cause of the accident and deploying measures to ensure safety and avoid prolonged congestion.
