Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee (UBND) has just decided to supplement more than 81.16 billion VND of target funding in 2025 to implement the Party and State's gifts for policy beneficiaries and social protection, on the occasion of welcoming the 14th National Party Congress and the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
According to Decision No. 3332/QD-UBND signed on December 30, the total budget of 81,166,800,000 VND is deducted from the central budget supplemented with a target. In which, the Department of Health is allocated 285.2 million VND to give gifts to social protection beneficiaries who are being nurtured and cared for at social assistance facilities.
The remaining amount of 80,881,600,000 VND is allocated to communes and wards to support social protection beneficiaries who are enjoying policies monthly in the community. The unified support level is 400,000 VND/person, with a total of 202,917 beneficiaries throughout the province.
202,917 people are living in communities in communes and wards and 713 people are being cared for at social protection facilities at Vinh Long Social Work Center, Tra Vinh Social Protection Center, Ben Tre BT and Service Provider Center for Social Work, Ben Tre Center for Mentally ill People.
