This information is stated in the submission of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee sent to the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Party Committee on the list of large-scale projects and inauguration ceremonies to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party.
According to the group of non-budget projects, three projects expected to break ground on January 15, 2026 organized by investors include: Can Gio Bridge, Phu My 2 Bridge and Rach Chiec Sports Area.

Can Gio Bridge connects Binh Khanh and Nha Be communes, 7.3 km long, of which the main bridge is nearly 3 km and the approach road is more than 4.3 km.
The total investment of the project is about 12,420 billion VND under the form of PPP, BT (build - transfer) contract.
The Ho Chi Minh City budget allocates about VND 2,885 billion, the remaining VND 9,535 billion is mobilized by investors. The project is expected to be completed in 2028.
Phu My 2 Bridge connects the southern part of Ho Chi Minh City with Nhon Trach (Dong Nai), about 6.3 km long, including the main bridge and access road. The starting point is expected to be at Nguyen Huu Tho Street (HCMC), the end point will connect to Lien Cang Street (Dong Nai). The bridge is designed with 8 lanes, including 6 mechanical lanes and 2 mixed lanes.
The total investment capital is about VND12,912 billion under the form of PPP, BT contract; of which more than VND10,700 billion is mobilized by investors and about VND2,130 billion from the budget of Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai to clear the land. The project is expected to be completed in 2028.

Rach Chiec Sports Park (An Khanh Ward) has a total investment of about 91,816 billion VND.
The project aims to build a modern sports complex, creating a highlight and enhancing Ho Chi Minh City's position as a sports - entertainment center of Southeast Asia. The entire project is expected to be completed in 2030.
The project includes a group of professional and training sports facilities: 50,000-seat central stadium (including an athletics track), Sports Academy.
Supporting project group: Athletes village, Events center - tournament organizer. Group of utility and infrastructure works: Sports - biomedical hospital; mixed-use function items; community sports park; urban parking lot and traffic infrastructure.
