On the morning of November 17, Mr. Nguyen Minh Sy - Chairman of the People's Committee of Que Chau commune, Que Son district, Quang Nam province informed Lao Dong that a tragic drowning incident had just occurred in the area, causing the death of 3 students.
The incident happened on the afternoon of November 16, when a group of 7th grade students from Que Chau Secondary School went to the Ly Ly River (through An Thanh village, Que Chau commune) to play and bathe in the river. Unfortunately, 3 students in the group drowned.
“The group of friends who went with him saved one child and brought him safely to shore. By the morning of November 17, the rescue team had recovered the body of Bui Gia Ph., but Nguyen Tan T. is still missing,” said the leader of Que Chau commune.
Local authorities are actively searching for the remaining missing students and investigating the cause of the incident.
