After more than a year of restarting, the Nam Ly Bridge project , with an investment capital of VND732 billion, has completed more than 95% of the volume and is expected to open to traffic at the end of September, instead of mid-month as originally planned. The main reason for the delay is due to prolonged rainy weather, affecting the construction and asphalt paving.
After the opening, the construction unit will close the existing side road to continue carrying out auxiliary works and constructing the residential access road. The entire Nam Ly Bridge project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

The bridge is nearly 450m long and 20m wide, with two ends connecting to a 30-37m wide approach road. This project replaces the old and narrow Rach Chiec dam bridge, which was a "bottleneck" that hindered traffic on Do Xuan Hop Street.
The Nam Ly Bridge project started in 2016, but due to land acquisition issues, the progress was delayed and only 40% of the volume was completed in 2019. After that, the project was suspended until March 2023, when compensation and site clearance were completed and construction was restarted.

Ong Bon Bridge , another project in Thu Duc City, will open one branch to traffic at the end of September. After this branch is completed, the existing bridge will be dismantled to construct the remaining branch. This project started in 2018 with a total investment of 30 billion VND.
The opening of Ong Bon Bridge will resolve traffic congestion on Bung Ong Thoan Street, helping to improve traffic and facilitate freight transport activities in the area.

Long Phuoc Road , an important route connecting to Long Dai Bridge (Thu Duc City), is also expected to open to traffic at the end of September. Long Phuoc Road is nearly 6km long and will be widened to 9-12m.
The Long Phuoc road upgrade project has a total investment of more than 260 billion VND, of which construction and installation costs account for only about 75 billion VND, the rest is mainly for compensation and site clearance.
The project started construction at the end of 2017 but encountered many difficulties in compensation, causing the progress to drag on until near the end of 2022 before restarting.

At the southern gateway, the HC2 underpass (from District 7 to Binh Chanh) at the Nguyen Van Linh – Nguyen Huu Tho intersection will be opened to traffic at the end of September. Initially, this tunnel was scheduled to be completed on September 15, but due to prolonged heavy rain, the contractor had to delay the opening to ensure the quality of the project.
When completed, the HC2 tunnel branch will not only reduce traffic pressure but also facilitate the construction of the HC1 branch in the opposite direction, from Binh Chanh to District 7. According to plan, this tunnel branch and related items will also be completed by the end of this year.
The Nguyen Van Linh - Nguyen Huu Tho intersection underpass project started construction in April 2020, with a total investment of VND 830 billion (phase one). The project includes two tunnels in each direction of Nguyen Van Linh Street, each tunnel is 456 m long, with 3 lanes.
